The things owners ask first.

Handing off your back office is a big deal. Here's how it works — and how you stay in control.

What is a home care AI operator?+

A home care AI operator is an AI system that runs the administrative and operational work of a home care agency on its own — without requiring staff to log in, enter data, or manually trigger each task. It handles things like caregiver screening, schedule management, invoice drafting, visit note follow-up, and phone calls, the same way a full-time operations manager would, but around the clock.

The distinction from home care software: software is a tool your team operates. An AI operator acts on your agency's behalf — it reads the situation, decides what to do, and does it. You set the rules; it runs the work.

How is Nora different from home care scheduling software?+

Home care scheduling software shows you open shifts and lets your staff fill them. Nora fills them herself. When a caregiver calls out, Nora contacts the on-call list, confirms coverage, and updates the schedule — before anyone checks their email in the morning.

More broadly: scheduling software is one of ten tabs your office team manages. Nora replaces the need for most of those tabs by handling the work directly — scheduling, billing, hiring, charting, and phones — in one system that runs itself.

What does Nora take over first when we get started?+

Most agencies start with Chart — client records, care plans, visit notes, and invoice drafting. It's where the daily paper load is heaviest, and where errors are most costly. Within days of onboarding, that stack is running.

From there, Nora expands into scheduling and hiring at whatever pace you choose. You approve each new capability before it runs on its own. You never hand over something before you've seen it work.

Does Nora work around the clock, or only during business hours?+

Around the clock. A caregiver no-show at 3 a.m. doesn't wait until someone gets to the office — Nora contacts caregivers, confirms coverage, and logs everything while you're asleep. The same applies to intake calls, scheduling gaps, and billing triggers. Home care doesn't stop at 5 p.m., and neither does Nora.

What is a BAA and why does my home care agency need one?+

A Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is a HIPAA-required contract between your agency and any vendor that handles Protected Health Information (PHI) — client records, care plans, visit notes, billing data. Without a signed BAA, sharing that data with a third-party system is a HIPAA violation, regardless of how secure the vendor claims to be.

Nora signs a BAA with every agency before any client data is touched. It's not optional — it's how we both stay covered. Details are on our HIPAA & BAA page.

Nora replaces my team. What happens when it gets something wrong?+

Nora doesn't get free rein on day one. Every job starts with you approving it, and only runs on its own once you've seen her get it right.

When she's unsure, she asks a person — she never guesses. And everything she does is logged, so you can always see what happened and why.

Is my clients' health information safe?+

Yes. Nora is built for HIPAA, and we sign a BAA with every agency. Client data is encrypted, and access is tightly controlled and logged.

The details are on our HIPAA & BAA and Security pages.

How long until Nora is actually running things?+

Most agencies are up and running on Chart within days — clients, care plans, and invoices, working. Nora takes on more each week as you get comfortable. You won't wait months to see it pay off.

Do I lose visibility and control?+

You get more. You decide what Nora can do on her own, see everything she does in one log, and approve anything you want to. You can pause her — on one job or all of them — anytime.

What does it cost?+

One flat fee, plus a small cut of what Nora collects for you. No per-seat pricing, no add-ons. We only make money when you do.

We already use tools for scheduling and billing. Do we rip them out?+

Not right away. Nora starts with Chart and takes over more over time. As she does, all those separate tools collapse into one — and we move your data over for you.
